【News】HAL is now available in the Philippines

CYBERDYNE, INC. [President and CEO: Yoshiyuki Sankai (hereinafter, “CYBERDYNE”) has started offering HAL Lower Limb Type (“HAL”) to A. Zarate General Hospital (Director: Dr. M.D. Albert Zarate (hereinafter, “A. Zarate Hospital) as the first facility in the Philippines.

A. Zarate Hospital is an affiliated hospital of A. Zarate General Hospital College, based in Las Piñas City, in Metro Manila. The director, Dr. M.D. Albert Zarate is also an owner of a company that sells medical devices and he is involved with management of multiple rehabilitation hospitals, not only in the Philippines but also in North America. Following the adoption of HAL, A. Zarate Hospital started to use HAL to patients with diseases and injuries related to the brain-nerve-muscular system such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and etc.

To celebrate the introduction of HAL to the Philippines, CYBERDYNE and A. Zarate Hospital schedules to hold “Cyberdyne Robotic Medical Symposium” on April 10, 2019 in Manila. In this event, CYBERDYNE’s CEO Yoshiyuki Sankai will make a presentation. There will also be a demonstration session for the participants. Expected participants for this event include, person from government in the related countries as well as medical professionals.
