CYBERDYNE and PLIMEs form a business and capital alliance

CYBERDYNE, INC. (the “Company”) and PLIMES Inc. (“PLIMES”) announced to form a capital tie-up (CYBERDYNE’s investment in PLIMES) and a business alliance. PLIMES is known for its development of a device which allows check-ups and monitoring of swallowing.

Aspiration pneumonia is the leading cause of death in the elderly population from pneumonia. Our company is focusing on the social implementation of Cybernics Technology for people and society and the “GOKURI” device developed by PLIMEs is regarded to be a new Cybernics Device. Following this alliance, We hope to strengthen the collaboration and business development so that aspiration pneumonia, one of the major social issues, will be dramatically reduced.
