【News】 University of Tokyo Hospital and CYBERDYNE will promote development and practical application of treatment with HAL® in view of “Mixed Billing”.

In the Second Conference of Tokyo National Strategic Special Zone on December 9, 2014, in which national government and member municipalities and enterprises participated, the proposal of preferential measures in terms of Special or Specified Medical Care Coverage (so-called “mixed billings” for treatment fees partially covered and uncovered by insurance, which are not basically allowed in Japan) for therapeutic treatments with HAL® for recovering bodily motor functions was approved. Matters related to CYBERDYNE Inc. are as below.

1) Outline of the Proposal in the Plan of Tokyo National Strategic Special Zone
Utilizing the preferential measures for Special or Specified Medical Care Coverage, designated medical institutions* (Only University of Tokyo Hospital which is involved in the therapeutic treatment with HAL® is indicated as below in this article.) will expeditiously provide advanced pharmaceuticals and medical treatments or technologies to handle them, which have not been approved in Japan but in USA, Britain, France, Germany, Canada or Australia.
